Carolann is an extraordinary source of knowledge and experience when it comes to organisations, culture and what makes people tick. With eight years as Global Director of Learning and Organisational Development in a top ten Law firm, Carolann has pretty much seen it all. With cutting edge programmes and award-winning execution, she has helped achieve change on a global scale.

 

Carolann spent nineteen years at Norton Rose Fulbright before leaving to start a portfolio career. As Global Director of Learning and Organisational Development, Carolan successfully designed, implemented and maintained a global learning and development strategy across eight merged firms. She also developed a curriculum for inhouse lawyers from the firm’s clients.

 

Carolann is an award-winning course designer. She has created and delivered programmes for leaders, managers and staff at all levels. A talent management and development program she designed helped to double female partner numbers at Norton Rose Fulbright. It also won awards from the Training Journal for Best Coaching Program and Best Leadership program. Carolann also built and ran similar programmes for people of colour/BAME lawyers from the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and South Africa.

Carolann has an MBA from the University of Warwick and an MA from the University of London. She is also a Meyler Campbell trained executive coach. Carolann’s leadership, strategy design and implementation work has won a range of awards. They include the MPF (Managing Partners’ Forum) Best Collaboration Across the Management Team; Law Society – Excellence in Learning & Development and Stevie Human Resources Executive of the Year.

 

Carolann lives with her husband and her cat. She winds down with music, cooking and gardening and independent travel to places such as Colombia, Panama, Brazil, Mexico, Cape Verde, Sao Tome & Principe allowing her to enjoy different people, histories and culture. She was awarded the OBE in the Queen’s New Year Honors 2020 for her services to disadvantaged people in the UK and South Africa.
